Papo Vázquez and his Mighty Pirates' cd, "Marooned/Aislado," has been nominated for a Grammy! This album was recorded live in Philadelphia at the Painted Bride Art Center, and was executive produced by AMLA's Jesse Bermudez.

Every Saturday 10:30 am to noon on 1310 AM, La Mega, listen to AMLA Director Jesse Bermudez and Katia "La Tirana" Matos hosting "Sonido Diferente!" Beginning Saturday, March 7, 2009, the show will broadcast at a new time: 11 am to 1 pm. Listen to music, interviews, and great talk about Latin music. (Broadcast in Spanish)
