Anti-Violence High School Rock Band | Summer 2026 Touring Group
PARADOX is a youth-led, anti-violence high school rock band emerging from our Summer Songwriting & Production cohort—where young artists come together to write, reflect, and create music rooted in community, healing, and social awareness. During the school year and summer sessions, students develop original songs that confront violence, uplift community power, and advocate for peace, justice, and collective responsibility. PARADOX is the live performance ensemble that brings those songs to the stage.
The band’s repertoire centers on original music written by our student songwriters, alongside thoughtfully selected cover songs that reinforce messages of peace, unity, and resilience. Their sound is deeply inspired by 1990s alternative rock, blending emotional honesty, driving rhythms, and expressive instrumentation to connect across generations.
PARADOX performs with 5–8 student musicians, adapting to venues of all sizes. The ensemble features two vocalists, keyboard, drum kit, bass, electric guitars, and violin—creating a dynamic, layered sound that feels both raw and intentional. Students work closely with teaching artists Frankie DeRosa and Stephen Lorek, as well as our summer songwriting faculty, to shape performances that are musically strong and socially meaningful.
Their performances speak directly to the belief that violence does not strengthen communities—peace does. Through music, PARADOX amplifies messages of understanding, forgiveness, love, and accountability, reminding audiences that real change begins when communities choose connection over conflict.

PARADOX is available for concerts, festivals, community events, schools, arts series, and youth-focused programming throughout Summer 2026. We are actively seeking venues and partners interested in presenting a high-energy, socially engaged youth rock band that uses music as a platform for peace and positive change.
