Berklee Pulse Music Method

AMLA is a proud Berklee City Music network site that provides students with access to the Berklee PULSE Method free of charge to all LSPA Students in conjunction with their Music Theory classes. The mission of the Berklee PULSE Music Method is to support guided teaching and learning of popular music through the innovative use of interactive online technology.

The Berklee Pulse music method is a collection of online lessons and materials that support classroom instruction. PULSE focuses on musical styles that originate in American popular culture and emphasizes the study of instrumental technique, theoretical understanding and an awareness of historical context.

Berklee City Music Network

Berklee City Music Network is a nonprofit education program, founded by Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. City Music harnesses the energy of contemporary music to reach underserved fourth through twelfth graders. As a national program, the Berklee City Music Network connects the Boston based program with like-minded music programs in cities all over the country. This includes teaching and mentoring by Berklee graduates who live in their city, and access to the Pulse online music method, giving kids the benefits of a Berklee education no matter where they live.
