Artists & Musicians of Latin America (AMLA), in collaboration with Piffaro, The Renaissance Band, is offering a free after-school program for students at Esperanza Academy Elementary School to learn the recorder.
The recorder is an early European woodwind instrument that helps children build essential skills for music-making, including breath control, coordination, and music reading. This instrument is also a stepping stone for learning other woodwinds, such as the flute, clarinet, or saxophone, making it an ideal first instrument for young students.
