Anti-Violence Songwriting and Music Production Workshop
For Youth Ages 15 to 20
The Artists and Musicians of Latin America (AMLA) invites young creators to take part in the Anti-Violence Songwriting and Music Production Workshop as part of the 2026 AMLA Summer Music Institute.
This summer program gives youth a place to create music, learn production, and explore ideas about identity, community, healing, and peace. Students work together to turn their thoughts and experiences into original songs while learning how music tells stories, builds connection, and inspires change.
Students explore songwriting, recording, beat-making, production, and performance while participating in guided conversations about violence, conflict, community awareness, and the role young people play in shaping a better future.
No previous musical training is required. Curiosity, openness, creativity, and a willingness to collaborate matter most.
