Anti-Violence Songwriting and Music Production Workshop
For Youth Ages 15 to 20
Artists and Musicians of Latin America invites young creators to take part in the Anti-Violence Songwriting and Music Production Workshop during the 2026 AMLA Summer Music Institute.
This summer program gives youth a place to write music, learn production, and share their ideas about community, identity, and peace. Students work together to turn their thoughts and experiences into original songs while learning how music moves people, tells stories, and brings communities together.
Participants explore songwriting, recording, and performance while taking part in conversations about violence, conflict, healing, and the role young people play in shaping a better future. The program centers student voices and gives them the tools to express those voices through music.
Students do not need previous musical training. Curiosity, openness, and a willingness to collaborate with others hold the most value.
